Beth Oberle Opening Reception

Beth Oberle is a textile artist whose work centers on fabric, thread, yarn, and handwork rooted in traditional fiber techniques. Drawing from sewing, embroidery, and other textile practices, she explores how historic methods, often associated with women’s labor, can be used in contemporary, nontraditional ways.

Her materials are intentionally sourced from thrift stores, estate sales, and long-collected supplies, reflecting a commitment to reuse, resourcefulness, and mindful making. Now based in Selma, Oberle’s practice is also shaped by the natural world and a slower, more attentive approach to craft.

Reception is free and open to the public.
