Selma Cinema Festival

Join us March 26–29 in downtown Selma for four days of film screenings, conversations, and events—all free and open to the public.

Presented by Foot Soldiers Park, the festival returns for its second year—bringing filmmakers, residents, and visitors together through storytelling.

The program kicks off Thursday, March 26 at 6:00 PM at Arts Revive with a red carpet evening and a special screening of Searching for Simorgh, a documentary from nonprofit MAP360 exploring Montgomery’s vibrant art scene. The screening will be followed by a panel with the filmmakers and artists.

From Friday, March 27 through Sunday, March 29, the program continues at the historic Walton Theater, featuring 22 films from around the world, along with filmmaker Q&As and additional community events.
